Join Patty, Gail, and Liz for a brief walk through of the CKLS System Grant Questionnaire and the Public Library Survey, both of which are due early 2025. This is the opportunity to bring your questions. We will let you know what statistics and reports to gather up to simplify this process. We encourage you to invite your treasure and even your city clerk to this session.

The 2025 CKLS System Grant Questionnaire will open on Monday January 6, 2025 and close on Friday February 7, 2025.
The CKLS Grant Questionnaire will be prefilled with as much information as possible, but librarians must review all of the prefilled information before they submit the finished form.
CKLS will start prefilling the Kansas State Public Library Survey and State Report the week of January 6, 2025. You are able to fill out the report before CKLS does. If we see that you have completed your State report before we had the chance to prefill it; we will not edit anything on your report.
The State will open their reports on Wednesday January 1, 2025 and will close them on Wednesday February 5, 2025.
“Kansas public libraries must complete the Public Library Survey and State Report between January 1 and February 5 each year to be eligible for state grant-in-aid and sub-grants awarded by the state library. Public libraries can report their annual statistics at https://ks.countingopinions.com” (State Library of Kansas, 2024).
CKLS does not keep your libraries’ log on information for the state website. You will need use the “Forgot Password” button on the State Report website to initiate the account recovery process.
