Six Steps to Reading by Patti Sinclair

Using the Six Steps to Reading, participants will use the literacy skills and incorporate them into Storytime programs.  Librarians will learn how to help parents become more knowledgeable about the importance of early literacy and ways to involve literacy into fun family reading time.

Hands-on Early Literacy Resources

Join Youth Services staff in exploring the variety of literacy resources available to use in your library. Youth Services Staff will present a Farm Storytime using the six skills. During this session you will also review and identify the skills in new picture books that you may take and use in your library.
